DogDiary is a community-driven platform designed to capture and track dog breaches across Australia. Our goal is de-escalate tensions and resolve dog breaches by providing an online dog diary that captures activity, provides tools for neighbours to communicate respectfully, and analyse dog behaviour that assists owners in making positive changes.
Traditionally, the reporting and responding to animal complaints has been adversarial, with council acting in the best interests of both parties. DogDiary takes a more contemporary approach, it seeks to mediate and communicate through the transparency of information, hoping to foster understanding and cooperation between all parties.
All contributions to the platform are anonymous and the information is freely available to all parties, without prejudice. Please be aware that the platform allows people to export data, but does not automatically feed or integrate into council systems.
By sharing information about dog behaviour and compliance, everyone can identify problem areas, dog owners can see behavioural patterns and make positive changes, therefore reducing the burden on councils.
The objective is to improve communication, resolve complaints, eliminate conflict and create a safer and more peaceful community that maintains enjoyment when at home.
"Consideration promotes tolerance"
